Mohbad: Naira Marley, Sam Larry Cleared As Court Orders Prosection Of Nurse, Friend

The Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos State, on Tuesday, cleared popular musician Abdulazeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, of any involvement in the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

According to Channels TV, Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, after reviewing and implementing the legal advice from the Lagos Directorate of Public Prosecution, stated that Naira Marley had no case to answer.The court also reportedly cleared music promoter Samson Balogun, known as Sam Larry; Owodunni Ibrahim, also called Primeboy; and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde.

However, the DPP stated that it would prosecute the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, along with one of his friends, Ayobami Sadiq, for reckless and negligent acts, violating Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law, Ch C.17, Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

Both individuals will face prosecution at the Magistrate Court.
