NNPP Chieftain Urges Christians to Pray for Nigeria: Promote Religious Tolerance

Olufemi Oguntoyinbo, a business mogul and chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has called on Christians to utilize the Lenten period to pray for Nigeria's peace, stability, and progress. He also emphasized the importance of demonstrating religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence with people of other faiths.

Oguntoyinbo encouraged Christians to use the 40-day Lenten period to grow closer to God, reflect on Jesus' sacrifice, and seek divine guidance for Nigeria's leaders. He stressed that praying for the country's peace and progress is essential, especially during this period when Muslims and Christians are observing their fasting periods almost simultaneously.

The NNPP chieftain highlighted the significance of religious tolerance in achieving peace and progress in Nigeria. He reminded Christians that loving their neighbors as themselves is a fundamental teaching of Jesus Christ, and that upholding this principle is crucial for promoting harmony and understanding among people of different faiths.

Oguntoyinbo believes that the coincidence of Muslims and Christians observing their fasting periods at the same time is a sign that God wants Nigerians to come together and seek divine intervention."Therefore we should pray for peace in our lands. We should pray for our political leaders and I am sure God would restore our nation's greatness", he concluded.
